Come  the  start  of   May  I  hoped    Â
the   buzz  would  recede  in my ears.
electricity  in   the  walls   whirring    Â
singing  to  static.   this  void  honesÂ
reception  to  join the shipping forecast.   Â
a   boat  tugged  along  the  current    Â
as  drums  beat  and  sparks  fire in    Â
this motionless state. body submerged   Â
by  cotton  ripples.  Mosquitos  swarm  Â
from  sockets in symphonic resonance   Â
as waves drown neural networks.

Outside  noise  there is always noise.    Â
my  brain hyper  processes. a needle    Â
to  vinyl. dark  noise  plays   nightly.     Â
a satellite discovering inaudible signals. Â Â Â
if  genetics  carry  code  in  strings      Â
my  father  punched  the  holes in his
son's piano roll. each negative  space
registers  pitch.  behind  these   eyes    Â
walls  are  violins playing  devilry  to
a  high-functioning  vessel. over-tuned.  Â
who must forgive his godless ears.
